Seller information we collect
When you submit or approve a vehicle listing, Auto Malawi may collect your seller name, phone number, WhatsApp number, location, dealer details, and any notes you provide so we can review the listing and help buyers contact you.
Vehicle listing information
We collect vehicle details such as make, model, year, price, mileage, fuel type, transmission, engine size, body type, condition, location, description, and listing status. Approved listings may be published publicly on Auto Malawi.
Phone and WhatsApp numbers
Phone and WhatsApp numbers submitted for an approved listing may be shown publicly so interested buyers can contact the seller directly. Do not submit a number unless you have permission to publish it for listing enquiries.
Uploaded images
Vehicle photos and dealer images may be stored, reviewed, resized, and displayed on Auto Malawi. Uploaded images should show the vehicle clearly and should not include sensitive documents, private addresses, payment details, or people who have not agreed to appear.
Analytics and cookies
Auto Malawi may use basic analytics, cookies, or similar technologies to understand site performance, popular pages, device types, and browsing behavior. This helps us improve speed, reliability, search quality, and the mobile experience.
How we use information
We use information to review and publish listings, connect buyers and sellers, respond to enquiries, support inspections, prevent spam or fraud, improve the marketplace, and keep Auto Malawi trustworthy.
Third-party services
Auto Malawi may use services such as Supabase, Vercel, email tools, analytics providers, and WhatsApp links. These services may process data according to their own privacy and security practices.
Requesting listing removal
You can request correction or removal of your listing by contacting Auto Malawi with the vehicle title, seller name, phone or WhatsApp number used on the listing, and the change requested. We may ask for confirmation before removing or changing a public listing.
Data protection
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information and restrict private operational access. No online service can guarantee complete security, so users should avoid sending sensitive payment, identity, or banking information through public listing messages.
